SOMEDAY, I’LL BE AN ELDER

Even our playful young people are often affected by alcohol & drug abuse, either directly or indirectly. This film is about a pilot substance prevention program - ‘Project Renewal’. A story featuring Karuk tribal members as they conduct a three week summer camp program which emphasizes the renewal of traditional ways and values. Points out the need for Indian-non-Indian Interagency cooperation and an awareness of Native American customs as they work with those Indian people that are caught up in today’s modern society.
