NAGI KICOPI: CALLING BACK THE SPIRIT
A must for Substance Abuse Professionals.
Interviews with Native Americans were
conducted in South Dakota to solicit personal stories about how their lives were
impacted by alcohol and substance abuse. Collaborators on the project were
Native Americans Dr. Duane Mackey, Dr. John Williams and Gene Thin Elk of
the University of South Dakota in Vermillion. The intended audiences are: 1) counselors and health professionals
who treat Native Americans for substance-related problems, and 2) the general
public to assist in awareness raising.
